The U.S. Embassy in Ireland established its Youth Council in December 2013 as part of the Global Youth Initiative supported by the U.S. State Department. The Council has up to 75 members, aged 18-25 years old. The new term begins in January 2017 and members serve on the Council for a one year term, with the option of renewing for a second one year term.
Council members participate in networking, professional development and community service projects throughout the year. Members are invited to participate in Embassy events of interest. The Council advises the Embassy on issues facing young people in Ireland and provides input into policy issues related to the U.S.-Irish relationship.
- All applicants must be aged 18-25 years old and be resident in Ireland.
- Applications are due by 5pm on Tuesday, January 10, 2017.
