U.S. Mission Ireland

In 2015, the U.S. Embassy in Ireland and Ambassador Kevin F. O’Malley launched the Creative Minds Series, which invites prominent U.S. artists, writers, filmmakers, digital culture innovators, and musicians to share their experience with young Irish audiences. The goal is to find ways to create new collaborations and encourage more creative economic linkages between young people in the United States and Ireland.

The monthly series will be held at the Ambassador’s residence in Phoenix Park and throughout the Ireland. The series will invite a broad cross-section of established and new leaders who are creating content in a variety of mediums. Through this series, the Embassy will provide a platform for new conversations about innovation in the arts designed to ensure that the unique American Irish bond exists among the next generation.

Creative Minds envoys will also conduct outreach programs with Irish organizations and educational institutions.  The economies of the twenty-first century depend increasingly on creativity to succeed and this series aims to strengthen the creative industry ties between the United States and Ireland‎.
