The U.S. Embassy Dublin Public Affairs Section (PAS) invites Statements of Interest (SOI) for projects that highlight and strengthen mutual understanding and the shared values that foster the deep, historic ties between the United States and Ireland. We welcome innovative ideas, particularly new ways to address common issues and challenges. Key issues and themes include:
- Mitigating climate change and promoting sustainability.
- Promoting cybersecurity and strengthening U.S.-Irish security cooperation.
- Promoting diversity and inclusion.
- Promoting entrepreneurialism and shared prosperity.
- Promoting historical and cultural ties between the two countries.
Proposals may cover other themes, but priority will be given to proposals that address the above key themes. Priority will also be given to proposals that show a direct connection with American experts, organizations, or institutions that will promote increased understanding of U.S. policy, culture, and perspectives.
Past PAS grants have help fund (but are not limited to) professional/academic/cultural/civil society workshops, exchanges, projects, performances, exhibitions, seminars, guest speakers, etc.
The proposal selection process is highly competitive. If you are successful with your SOI, you will be asked to complete required registrations and submit a full grant proposal on mandatory application forms. Most successful applications achieve grant funding of $1,000 – $3,000.
