On March 5th, 2014 Tom Strodtbeck, Director of International Programs for the National Business Incubation Association, addressed an audience of entrepreneurs and business people at the U.S. Embassy. He spoke about the opportunities for soft landings in the U.S. for growing Irish companies looking to expand in North America.
Tom Strodtbeck is the Director of International Programs and the Director of Events and Training for the National Business Incubation Association (NBIA), the world’s leading organization advancing business incubation and entrepreneurship. Each year NBIA provides thousands of professionals with information, education, advocacy and networking resources to bring excellence to the process of assisting early-stage companies. Tom oversees the development, programming and execution of the International Conference on Business Incubation, the largest conference on business incubation in the world. Additionally, Tom is responsible for the development and management of NBIA’s other large training event: the Training Institute, a three-day educational event featuring nine full- and half-day workshops. Tom also leads NBIA’s international programs department, where he has worked on training and capacity-building projects in Russia, China, Singapore, Mexico, Ghana and Malaysia, among others. Tom is the author of five training workshops on business incubation: The Fundamentals of Incubator Management, Serving Client Companies, Facilities Management, Entrepreneurs and Entrepreneurship, and International Business Incubation.
